Thank you for your interest in participating!  We have an exciting opportunity for second grade teachers starting this fall (2024). If you are a second grade teacher, keep reading!

Our partners at WestEd are inviting second grade classrooms to participate in a study involving one of two sets of online math problems. We have developed problem sets that have evidence of efficacy in paper and pencil format. In collaboration with WestEd and ASSISTments, we've moved them online and are testing if they're just as effective in electronic form. We aim to compare our problem sets with other established electronic problem sets. All participating classrooms will use one of the two problem sets, which provide extra practice with essential elementary math standards and integrate seamlessly into any math curriculum.

Participating teachers will receive $1,000 for their involvement. The study will take place during the 2024-2025 school year, with final classroom selections happening this summer.

Interested? You can see WestEd's invitation flyer here.

Not a second grade teacher? Sorry, we don't have any additional opportunties to participate at this time, but keep checking back. We may have new opportunities for you soon! We're always looking for ways to engage in the community. If you are a parent, educator, or other community member who is interested in connecting with one of our team members, please feel free to reach out. Stop by and say "hi" if you see us out in the community at one of our partnering schools or after-school programs.

If you would like to receive COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT NEWS (sent out 2-3 times a year via email to share lab news, opportunities to participate, and summaries of key findings in the cognitive, developmental, and learning sciences), please email us: clad@nd.edu
