Thank you for your interest in participating!  We currently have an exciting opportunity for second grade teachers. If you are a second grade teacher, keep reading!

Our partners at WestEd are inviting second grade teachers to pilot 10 math problem sets in electronic form. Our previous research has shown that the problem sets are beneficial when students complete them via paper and pencil workbooks, and now we want to know if it's feasible to administer them in an online format.

Participating teachers receive $750 in exchange for their participation. Participation takes place between March and May 2024, and it involves completing 10 brief online math problem sets with your students. The problem sets cover important elementary math standards and are designed to help students construct understanding of foundational mathematics symbols.

Interested? You can see WestEd's invitation flyer here.

Not a second grade teacher? Sorry, we don't have any additional opportunties to participate at this time, but keep checking back. We may have new opportunities for you soon! We're always looking for ways to engage in the community. If you are a parent, educator, or other community member who is interested in connecting with one of our team members, please feel free to reach out. Stop by and say "hi" if you see us out in the community at one of our partnering schools or after-school programs.

If you would like to receive COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT NEWS (sent out 2-3 times a year via email to share lab news, opportunities to participate, and summaries of key findings in the cognitive, developmental, and learning sciences), please email us: clad@nd.edu
